Our Story
ith
creative talents ranging from on-air personalities to scriptwriters,
Audio Drops co-founders, Scott and Bobbi Olson, decided that, after a
collective 20 years in the broadcast industry, it was time to take on
new challenges. Although both were passionate about their chosen field,
it was restrictions on their creativity that forced both toward other
venues. They had a very simple idea: make quality production affordable.
It was this philosophy that ignited their entrepreneurial spirits to
start Audio Drops in 2003.
 obbi got her
break in the broadcast industry at business/financial news station AM
1600 KMNY as a board engineer where she almost immediately jumped into
the production director's chair. She also wrote and voiced promos,
commercials and public service announcements before moving on to produce
"The Business Day" and "Investors Club of the Air." She also got behind
the mic for regular market updates and hosted "Community Focus," KMNY's
public affairs program, and "Entertainment Inside Out," a weekly
entertainment show. From there, she moved on to production duties for
the NHL's Mighty Ducks broadcasts on their flagship station, 95.9 KEZY
FM. Bobbi also did production at KNX 1070 AM and was host of the
"Weekend Magazine" at AM 1390
K-Lite. When business/financial news startup Global Economic Media (GEM
Radio) approached her for help with station imaging and program &
commercial production, she gladly accepted. |

cott started as the overnight personality at 94.3 KIK-FM
in Orange County, CA. After that, production & voiceover duties kept him
busy at business/financial news outlet
AM 1600 KMNY. He then went on to do promotions and production at 95.5
KLOS,
AM 790 KABC and Radio Disney in Los Angeles until he got the call
from 106.5 FM KMMT in Mammoth Lakes. There he served as Program
Director, including music and production duties, and the morning show
personality. He penned commercials and did voiceover for clients such as
the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort & Concert Series, Coors Light, Dodge,
Ford and Chevy trucks, as well as many locally owned businesses in the
Eastern Sierras. He returned to Southern California and took on
production and engineering duties at AM 1150 Xtra Sport (now ESPN
radio). He was then approached by financial news startup, Global
Economic Media (GEM Radio) in Pasadena, to create the image for their
new radio show, "Off Wall Street" with appropriate music, bumpers and
jingles. He also wrote, produced and voiced station promos and
commercials. Scott also served as assistant engineer and fill-in host. |
